Fresh farm eggs can be white or brown, depending on the type of chickens. Brown chickens have brown eggs and white chickens lay white eggs.
are you sure??

Eggs are eggs.

Not if they hatch in the middle of your sentence.

Then it would be . . . Eggs are chicks.

James says he read a study that says that the insides of white eggs are identical to the insides of brown eggs. Will have to see if he can find it for me.

Pretty sure. It has somthing to do with the pigmentation of the chickens but I can''t remember how it all works exactly.

I buy both brown eggs and white eggs. Don''t have a preference.

I try to buy whatever is local first and foremost, since the local farms here treat their chickens and their land kindly. Last weekend at the farmers market, I bought a variety pack of eggs with some araucauna eggs and some unidentified whites and browns and did a taste test for my daughter. She actually liked the taste of the araucana best, so I may try to get more of those. If given a choice between brown organics or white organics, I'll choose the browns.
