I am almost at the end of my pear reset journey - it should be ready next weekend at the latest & I am BEYOND excited to finally be getting my beautiful diamond back in its bespoke forever home. This has set my mind to thinking about my next project, which will be a ring for my 40th next summer that my husband wants to make using the 11 remaining princess diamonds from my original engagement ring.
My wedding set, diamond studs & pendant are all platinum, but I have always, always loved the rich butteriness of yellow 18 carat gold. This will be a RHR & worn without a watch - that is on my left wrist. So my question is, do you ever mix metals? I am not really a mixer, but am slowly falling in love with the idea of a yellow gold RHR, thick & wide, with the diamonds set into the top. Would it look weird for everyday wear? I am leaning towards an estate style, vintage look.
