If you don't Google can track your every move, store the data and sell it to others.
Just using Google to search, or watching youtube videos is no problem, but actually logging into one of Google's products like gmail or logging into a Youtube acct you own gives Google the right to spy on your every move and make money from it.
This is my understanding of how it is now that their new privacy policy started.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Even then, I don't trust them.
I keep myself logged out of Google's products unless I'm actually using one.
