how many SQ ft? do you have a basement?

1 story.
1400 sq ft.
2 bd 1 ba
We have an absurdly microscopic basement, maybe 30 or 40 sq ft.

Both, I guess. We own a duplex that's up and down. We live in the downstairs, and his mother rents the upstairs. We have about 1000 sq feet, and she has around 850. We have a basement, but it's a scary basement. It gets damp and the stairs are super steep. Typical basement for a house of its age, and in our area.

We're in a 3 story Victorian. We have the entire second floor to ourselves. It's approx 1200 square feet. and the basement of this place is HUGE, oh and scary.

One story house that is about 1400 square feet. We have a full basement. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

We live in one-story of a two-story duplex. It is tiny, but I have learned to love that. Cleaning is a snap and it helps us manage clutter (but just not making it a possibility). When we had a basement, we just used it to justify keeping things we didn't need.

We live in a one story house with 1900 sq. ft. It has a slab foundation, so no basement. It's a cinch to clean!

We have about 800 sq ft. It's an efficiency on the 28th floor of a 48 sotryhigh-rise in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago. What we lack in square feet, I think we more than make up for with views, access to restaurants, culture, 3 block commute, etc. The BF feels a little cramped though and fantasizes about a 3500 sq foot single-family dwelling.

Apt. 800sq ft on the third floor. In the Big City. Can't wait to move into a cozy little cottage with tons of land, I've always found the hustle and bustle odious and two years is quite long enough to be sure that I'm not going to be changing my mind.

I have a single storey late Victorian / early Edwardian railway cottage. Buildings here don't usually have basements, and we're pretty close to sea level anyway, so no basement.

I have no idea how many square feet, since it was measured in square meters when we bought it, but I can't remember how many of them we have. It was built in two parts, with four original Victorian rooms and four later additions.

One story, 1400 square feet, with a garage but no basement. It's a good size for us right now but I'd ideally love an 1800-2000 square foot place. Someday...

We live in a two story home that is 2100sqft. We have four bedrooms and an unfinished basement that DH uses as tool world.

DH and I live in a single story 3800 sq ft house. We're on half an acre, so plently of room for the kids (dogs!) to race around. No basement, but heaps of roof space for DH to crawl into and tinker with lights and stuff, ah the joys of being married to an electrician :rodent:

We have a 3 car garage that we don't use because it's full of an obscene amount of 'stuff', mostly car bits. DH also has a man-cave out the back with a second upstairs floor that is roughly 1200sq ft in total, he calls that 'his house', and the HOUSE house is 'my house'

Oh, and the doggies have their own house that is about .5 sq ft :halo:

We currently live in an 1800 sq ft 1 story house. I love it. No basement, but it has a garage (I think basements are rare in the south). We're about to move, and I really wanted another 1 story house, but we weren't willing to go any smaller on sq footage and couldn't find ANYTHING, so we're getting a 2 story that has 2500 sq ft. I'm hoping the extra sq footage makes up for the dreaded stairs (for my pregnant self and my kiddo). I have a feeling I'll eventually like having 2 stories, but with lo's under foot it's inconvenient.

2 story around 1400 sq ft and i have a icky crawl space type basement

1200 sqft 2br/2bath single-story condo on the 2nd floor of a 3-story building.

No garage. No covered parking. No basement. No land.

Can't wait to get back to the Midwest! FI and I will be shooting for an 1800-ish sqft single-family home with a basement, 2-3 car garage, and at least a half acre of land. 20 months to go...

2 story, 3000 sq ft. 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, office, kitchen, living, dining,2 story family, laundry and mud room. Somewhat unfinished basement, 1/4 of which is an exercise room and 1/4 is a gaming area (ping pong table, darts, card table, + extras) and the rest is for storage (non-persishables + stuff we are getting rid of soon (i.e. old electronics).

Two-story, around 2100 sq. feet. Four bedrooms and 2.5 baths. No basement. (Rental)

The square footage and number of beds/baths is perfect, but when we buy, we want a one-story. Our stairs make me nervous.

1.5 story (cape cod style) house with around 1500 sq ft (3 beds, 2 baths) plus unfinished basement.

1 story, 3000 sq. foot, no basement (FL), 1 acre lot.

2 story colonial from 1923. 1400 square feet- 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a basement. It's little but I love it!

3800 sq ft cape cod. No basement. 6 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a detached 4 car garage.

3 story split level, 2300 sqft. No basement, but two attics. It's huge for us right now, but we bought it three months ago knowing we would grow into it over the next few years.

1 story
I THINK 1800 sq ft. Not positive though
No basement. We don't have those in FL, we have garages lol.

3 story, a little over 2100 sqft, no basement, townhouse, detatched.

Two story.

I have a townhouse that is 1400sqft - two bedrooms, 1.5 baths. It has a garage and small basement storage area on the ground level, so I guess it's technically three stories.

I really like two story houses. I like to be able to go upstairs and get away from things to sleep - probably because I grew up in a two story house and it's what I'm used to. We're looking at houses to buy and are settled on 2000-2500sqft with an acre (or more if we can get it) - I can't wait to have land!

2 story, about 2600 sq. ft. No basement, but we do have a weird little crawl space under the stairs.

Ours is a two story traditional Cape Cod style complete with 'dormers'

Square footage - just shy of 1900 square feet on a half acre lot

Four bedrooms, ONE!!! full bathroom and a powder room on the main floor.

Full unfinished basement

In July, we'll have lived here for 40 years

1 story. I grew up in one and always wanted a 2 story. I then lived in a 2 story apartment for 15 years and am SO thrilled to be back in a 1 story house!

I go between two houses because of school right now so my parents home is 2300 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, on two levels, and a decent fully finished basement. SO's place is 1300 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and it's all on one floor. Personally, I can't wait to move into a two story house with SO. I'm not diggin the one story house.
