I''ve been looking for a princess cut diamond and think that I have found THE one at WF, but just wanted to run it by you experts and get second opinions. The only thing that kinda concerns me is that it got a AGS1 for the cut because of a 1 on light perfomance. Can anybody tell me why? Other than that, the picture, i-scope, and ASET look good to me. What do you think?

1.003 ct F VS2 Princess (link to diamond page)

Depth %: 74.2
Table %: 71.1
Crown Angle: 44.6
Crown %: 12.9

Girdle: Thin
Measurements: 5.37-5.36X3.98
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: Pointed
Fluorescence: Negligible

Thanks!

it looks good.
Be careful or someone will buy it.

The thin girdle is not too bad at 2.4-3% - but you should insist the vendor sets it and if you want it in an exposed high 4 prong setting then insure it for when it chips (not if). It may or not be in your lifetime

Thanks for the input, Gary....and the warning. ;) Any comments as to why it received a light performance of 1 on the AGS report. That is the only thing that makes the cut an AGS1, right? For some reason this is a hangup for me and just need some reassurance.

AGS use a software program that does a good job, but not perfect (in my opinion).
There are stones that they give 0 to, that leak in the center and have a ugly dead spot.

I do not believe they are in the habit of over-riding the software (but could be wrong?)

I only have the ideal-scope and ASET on wF site to go by. You could ask for an opinion from john Pollard, Brian or Bob when compared to a AGS0.
But if you want the sstone you should put a hold on it
