What do you all think of the V band with a halo. Is it too much? Meaning. Does the halo get lost or blend in too much or does the Sharp V provide enough contrast?

Too much, for my eye. Is this the diamond that was in the 3 stone? I think you hit your best option with that setting; it gave it a lot of oomph and finger coverage. I think a lot of people here loved that setting.

As well as being too much, I feel like this band really doesn't go with the e-ring setting, and the whole thing gets swallowed and lost. When I look at it, my first response is "Where is this pairing heading??"

For my money, you've had a number of much better looks. I'd stick with one of those.

To me, it looks like you are trying to mesh two different styles together. Not my favorite look but it's all in the eye of the beholder. I think a nice thin plain band would provide contrast and interest while remaining the supporting cast to your main stone.

What are your thoughts?

Mrs B. Of all people, I’m sure you can understand all the resets! And that the heart wants what the heart wants. You had a perfect halo and opted for your 3 stone. Despite what everyone said. Lol. I think you’ve got me beat! By far! Lol. Bc you also swap out your stones! Anywho. Ty for playing along! And I mean this comment with affection.

I don't mind the chevron band... but what's up with the left part of the band??
I think it’s the angle. I didn’t notice anything off. Will double check if I opt for it.

It looks like the v band is broken on one side.
I think it’s the angle but will double check. Funny. I see it in the pic but didn’t notice it in person.

Nala - to clarify - I've upgraded my diamond, yes. Of all the diamonds I've ever owned, I've reset once.

I'm also not suggesting you shouldn't re-set. My opinion is that you've had better settings.

And just to be clear - if you read the thread about the three stone, you'll find most people preferred the 3 stone setting for ME, since I've been constant for years about loving three stone settings.

On the other hand, it's not me asking for opinions here, so I'm not really sure why you've dragged my experience into it. So getting back to your setting.... I know you like a lot of bling and complete finger coverage. To that end, if that's your goal, I still think you can do better. I think I recall you either having or considering a cluster at one time. For you, that's what I think would be your best option. I also think a well done cluster is a very classy look, and a classic. But they're an expensive setting, in general, so if switching up is what you enjoy, it might not be the way forward for you.

I think the slant on the left is just b/c the ring is slanted on your finger. The V provides a contrast but I think a curved band would complement the ering more. What your eyes prefer is what counts tho.

Sorry Mrs. B. I didn’t think i was dragging you in. Sometimes I hesitate to post bc people want to lecture me. You are right. I was asking for opinions. On the look of the V band. Not on whether or not I could get permission to reset. I guess that’s why I thought you could relate. And not to drag you further. But I recall a lot of resets on your part for your main ring. And I love reading about them! Maybe I’m wrong tho. But please don’t take it the wrong way. At any rate. The poll is really helping me. Bc at the end of the day, I’m only trying to discern if the halo blends in.

That's so odd lol. For the life of me I can't get my eyes to figure out what optical illusion I am seeing.

Since other's have brought up a curved band I thought I would throw this out there... I think I prefer the chevron band over a curved band.

I don’t love it. I love the ER but personally I’m not a fan of the V band. The angles are too sharp compared to the softness of the ER if that makes sense. Together not as aesthetically pleasing as separate imo.

Love both rings, just not together, sorry.

The v is very angular and pointed. Personally I prefer a softer look. I prefer earlier Nala creations

Hi nala!

I’m afraid that when I look at this, my brain starts yelling to get that v band out of there ... it looks very out of place to me .. a game of “which one doesn’t belong,” “square peg in round hole” kind of thing ... an oops, especially with that optical effect of looking like something is wrong with the left side.

Sometimes I like it when the sharp lines pair with curves, but this just doesn’t work for me.

Geez. I guess I am feeling blunt today. Obviously a hard no from me but I am far from the fashion police!

It’s because of the above that I don’t know what to vote or say to answer your question. I do love your bling though!!!

The V shape looks off to me.

I guess I'm a wierdo. I like the v band with your ring Nala It's different looking. It does blend in with the halo a bit but at the same time its a picture. It probably looks different to you in real life. I say keep it for awhile if you like it

The shape of the band doesn't quite work with that halo. It's all sharp angles and geometric shapes whereas the halo is soft and feminine. I think a straight, pave band would be better.

I’m going to be a voice of dissent and say I like it. I love that you reset all the time @nala. I like it most in the second pic where there’s a bit of an airgap between halo and V-ring. It makes me think of the chevron rings where the shank is plan but there’s diamonds hanging off the V might look better with your halo. Sorta like these but they’re too delicate here I think - thicker band or bigger diamonds? :P2

I like it @nala, looks pretty and a bit different! I think it actually makes your ering stand out. The only thing is that one side does look a little funky, at least in the pic - my eye was drawn it right away.

I like it too! You know what I'd like to see a picture of, just out of curiosity? A V band on the other side too. :Up_to_something2:

I think the V band is unexpected and contrasts beautifully without being too matchy matchy.

Another no from me, too pointy I feel.
I think a curve would look better and I’d get two - one for each side.
Mind you, I think your ring is glorious all by itself

I have plenty of these! And I do wear them. I was just looking for a different look.
