Do you know anyone who is extremely zen about this crisis?

I'm not sure if I'm zen about it but I do recognize that all I can do is be safe and make smart decisions regarding exposure. Beyond that I can't worry myself into a heap as that makes me have terrible physical problems. DH isn't worrying but he's pretty angry when he comes home due to all the people shopping. It seems social distancing is a hard habit to manage if you live in an area of gregariously touchy people. Handshaking and hugging are a reflex where I live which is requiring a complete rewiring of the brain in the age of Covid.

We all need a little reboot from time to time. New normal!

Gary is handling it really well
he's been unwell for most of a year and nothing much has changed for him
but at the best of times he has zero patience and im falling off the tracks and he can't understand why

Oliver is pretty zen about this. As are Gracie and Tommy and Bobby. It’s like they haven’t a care in the world. :cheeky:

I generally am. I just look at a problem objectively and work on what I CAN do/control. I can't make this up so I won't but it's been a ride. Just a few weeks ago DH got "furloughed". OK, let's apply for unemployment and I'll "lighten the load" of my jewelry box to help float things until we start getting the money (c'mon NY). Literally 3 days after that I found out we're having another baby (if it sticks). OK, no more happy hour, increase stretching/meditation, call the doc. One.Step.At.A.Time. Control what you can and let the rest go.

@Asscherhalo_lover Congratulations on your pregnancy!

He’s a cutie @missy! I think he’s calming down a lot!

Congratulations @Asscherhalo_lover!!

My DH is pretty chill through this whole thing. He is still working outside the house so that takes his focus. I am working at home, this week back to mostly full time. Our teenage girls are home with me obviously. I am the one who gets worked up honestly. When we go out to shop every two weeks, I nearly have a panic attack. This past weekend I had to take my medication to calm down. We are in So Cal and even though there is a mandate to wear face masks outside your home, many are wearing no protection. No gloves, no masks, Getting too damn close while shopping. My DH has type 2 diabetes, so I worry for him and of course as mom's we worry most for our children.

Congratulations @Asscherhalo_lover And right there is the silver lining of this quarantine for your family...wishing you all the warm fuzzies having a new baby will bring!

Congratulation @Asscherhalo_lover soo excited for you! I hope you're feeling ok and you get to stay home and rest :appl:

My husband jokes about it being a matter of time before one of us is unemployed. I'm not too concerned, we have plenty saved up and no kids. Despite all the scary news and obvious bad things happening, I've been handling it in a fairly zen like fashion. Working from home has been great, I dont get stir crazy, I always find something to do. I've been walking the dog more often and I've reconnected with a bunch of friends from years ago through an online game.

However, I'm also very introverted in that I get very drained from in person interaction, so this has been pretty great. I dont feel exhausted and drained at the end of the day anymore.
