Funny story...This was about a month ago. I was attending a wedding dinner along with my two daughters and this one lady who was sitting across the table from us was thinking to herself (staring at our rings ). I can read her mind.... daddy is sporting a bigger diamond than the daughters?..

Just one contender & even this one case involves sapphires; his were difficult to beat & already huge for a woman's hand, but I do not know what to compare with.

The only guys I knew who wore diamonds used to come into a restaurant I worked at as a youngster. They had names like Blinky and Tommy Too Tall. They were actually quite pleasant and protective toward me, probably because I was neither a purveyor nor a consumer of their products.

But it is still the biggest diamond I have seen any man wear in my neck of the woods!
And it's bigger than most E rings around here.

My DH wears this ring. It is .75 OEC, G, VVS2

My Aunt and her second husband had very very fancy and expensive rings made. Her design was a pair of cherubs (hands as prongs) holding the large diamond, his design was 2 lions (paws as prongs) holding the large diamond.
A selection of large diamonds was called in and viewed. Two diamonds were chosen, one larger than the other.
As “he” had instigated the whole project both “he” and the jeweller assumed that “his ring” would house the bigger diamond, I mean his ring size was size 11 hers is a 5.
