How sweet!Date: 4/24/2009 5:03:13 PM

Uh, no.
If I buy something for myself, I will also buy something for him. But he treats me to special nibbles far more than I treat him. He''ll go to the store more often and bring back goodies he thinks I''ll like. Last night it was chocolate ice cream, strawberries, and Lite Cool Whip. And it was good.
Before Easter, he scoured every store in the area for my favorite spicy Brach''s jelly beans. He finally found them; he was so proud of himself. He''s sweet that way.![]()
Whatever is in the pantry is fair game for either of us.

Oh, I wanted to add...I think this is a really interesting topic...I actually feel like one of the reasons I had food issues growing up was because when we did have snack food in the house, my dad or brother would eat it. I always felt like I had to eat it right away or else miss out, and I would end up eating more than I really wanted. It became a bit of a competition as to who could eat it first. I am soooo much happier now feeling like I don''t have to worry about eating things before they disappear.
Sabine, I have a similar complex from my dad''s eating habits... he would ''steal'' food off our plates if we didn''t finish it before he was done with his plate. I never realized how QUICKLY I ate until I got to college and was eating around friends instead of my family! It''s so bad, I''m still the first one to finish at any meal![]()

Oh, yes! My husband is a human garbage disposal! (and unlike me, can stay perfectly fit and healthy while eating whatever he wants)![]()
The only thing I don''t have to worry about is cadbury creme eggs - he knows if he touches them, he is in BIG BIG trouble!
Ugh! Mine is the same way. 6'' and sometimes weighs only 165 when he is not making sure he eats all the time. I can''t keep ANY food in the house. I mean anything. It''s so frustrating because he will eat all the time. When we shop he will say he doesn''t want this or that, but as soon as it is in the house I catch him in the kitchen eating! I have to buy things that I know he doesn''t like so that I can save things for myself.Date: 4/26/2009 1:38:12 AM

Haha! We have DH twins! I am guessing 4000 calories is around what my DH can do on a good day of eating. He eats twice as much as me in a given meal. It''s amazing. Luckily he is also a bit of a health nut so a lot of it is fruits, vegetables, and lean meats.Date: 4/26/2009 6:36:56 PM

Lol, mia! Oh, mine is nearly 6'' and weighs 170! I feel your pain. The boy can take in 4000 calories a day in food and beer and not gain a pound!
And whitby, I am impressed at your willpower. I would have finished that egg about the same time your husband did!I gain the most weight at Easter time for just that reason.![]()
