Do you dislike any foods that limit your cooking repertoire?

I am vegetarian, so that automatically eliminates a bunch of stuff, but on top of that I can''t stand:

-Olives (in a TON of vegetarian dishes)
-What I call "pungent" cheeses (goat, feta, blue, etc)

Not really! There are things I don't cook because I don't like them enough to spend time cooking them, but would gladly eat them if someone else made them

But I can't think of many ingredients I dislike enough to prevent me cooking with it.

I won't cook with cilantro, but that's an easy one to leave out without too many issues. And I will eat it if it's in restaurant foods, so I don't dislike it *that* much.

I also don't really like olives - I don't buy them and don't make things with them but I do try them occasionally and if they're on a pizza I won't pick them off or anything.

I love so many of the things you guys hate! Mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, peppers, onions - all amazing! And I think shellfish and seafood in general are one of my favorite things in the entire world. Nothing better than some scallops or mussels

Beans.

If we go to mexican restaurants and I order a burrito without beans everyone looks at me like I''m crazy. If I get chipotle and I say "No-beans" they always do a double take... lol

HATE BEANS!!!

Refried is ok though, but IN something.

Nope, not really. Like Cehrabehra I won't eat organ meats (gross!). My parents exposed us to so many different types of food growing up, I'm up for almost anything. I like seafood but don't like handling it lol.

I eat basically everything, so it honestly isn''t a problem for me.

HOWEVER- DH is the pickiest eater imaginable. I have slowly introduced a few green vegetables to him, but he won''t eat anything with added spices, and has just a few items on his ''will eat'' list. So it limits my cooking because everything I cook has to be smaller portions.

I''ve got a great bean-free chili recipe! Its a cincinnati chili, which not everyone is a fan of, but its a staple in out house and I always need to keep some in the fridge for DH! Saves us $ from going to skyline all the time, too.

OOH! Do share! I have really come to love Ohio food, and Cincinnati-style chili is right up there with my all-time faves. I will miss it more than some of my friends, here. (Only kind-of kidding).

I am allergic to iodine, which means I can''t eat shellfish. it is a darned travesty all the delicious food that I love that I cannot eat because of it. A world without paella is something I wouldn''t wish on anyone else.

I also have a food fear of mayonnaise. But, I don''t believe it limits my cooking/eating because I cannot fathom anything with mayonnaise in it being worth eating. DH, on the other hand, would solely eat mayonnaise-based salads for every meal.

Raw onions, organ meat, and caraway seeds. I used to dislike onions in any way, shape or form. I''m glad I got over that because onions really are difficult to escape!

I wouldn''t say my extremely limited dislikes limit my cooking in any way.

Ditto!!! I can''t imagine my life without scallops or tomatoes! Caprese salad is one of my all time favorite summer meals.

Oh, and I love what I call "footy" cheeses. You know, cheese that smells like feet. Maytag bleu, feta, etc.

rice

I absolutely cannot stand it. Neither can DH. Looks like our kids will NEVER even try it!

I will eat anything. The food item I like the least is broccoli, but I still eat it. And I''ll cook with anything. Then eat it. Even offal and weird ingredients. Nom nom nom nom...
