Hi. I had posted lask week about a setting i was interested into, and i found a different one. ive been looking for the last 3 years @ the perfect setting, and diamond within my price range. I think finally its coming together. I would like to know what u guys would do as far as a band for this ring wich has a split shank. Not that i really need the band since ive been married for 10 years and this is an upgrade from my walmart ring . But i would feel naked without one. The setting is a scott kay , and will have a .80 center stone. Would a diamond band take away from the e-ring, and the split shank? Is a split shank designed so u dont need a band? Or maybe i could have a band without diamond so we could see the ering better?
i would very much appreciate the input. Ps has been great but also made me picky as hell

I am partial to wedding bands and I like the look of bands that don''t perfectly match the ering. I would go with a tiny pave band just to add a little something extra. Just my opinion.

Ditto on a tiny pave band. I got an upgrade a couple years ago and I don''t wear a wedding band with it. The new ring has a wide band. Now, I''ve been playing with another diamond band next to it just for a different option.

Sroblee, it''s a gorgeous ring! Congrats on the upgrade and the anniversary! I agree with the previous posters about maybe having a really skinny pave wedding band that would sit flush with it would be the best choice. It won''t detract from the ring, just give it a little extra something.

Have you tried on the actual ring? or a similar version. I had a split shank ering and although I liked it at first I soon fell out of love with it but hey, I guess that''s just my personal choice. As previously suggested, I would go with a thin pave band. I tried on different diamond wedding bands with my split shank and most of them just looked ''too much'' with my ering.

I think that I would like it without an additional band, but I understand what you mean about feeling naked without the wedder...I would opt for a thin pave band. Gorgeous ring by the way!
