Do these ideal scope images match the gemologist notes??

Do these ideal scope images match what the gemologist has stated. Does the pink indicate a lot of leakage around the table?
The gemologist has inspected both of these stones and said the following:
the 1.26 size is very bright and lively - fire brilliance and scintillation balances beautifully and the diamond is eye clean. Making this a top choice. The 1.33 has comparable light performance and is also eye clean to the average eye. Both of these diamonds are nicely cut and very bright but the gemologist favors the 1.26 a little more.

Can you please tell me which one you would pick and why?

No - the pink does not indicate leakage around the table - this photograph is magnified to incredible size. At "real size" in stereo-vision there is no discernable difference in the table light-return between the two diamonds.

With that said, purely by the numbers the 1.33 is a true Tolkowsky. It also has a slightly larger spread. This leads me to ask, why does the gemologist prefer the 1.26? This is a point of personal curiosity as they are both terrific in terms of light performance.

Thank you so much for responding. My inexperience had me thinking that the lighter pink color was light leakage. If I had to guess on why the gemologist said that the 1.26 was the better performer, I would say possibly because the 1.26 is one of the vendor's hearts and arrows signature stones and possibly it has more markup. Again this is just a guess. The gemologist did say that if we were splitting hairs then he slightly favored the 1.26 over the 1.33.

Glad to help. When choosing between a 'branded' or 'signature' diamond and one that is not, do ask the vendor about both short and long term implications of the purchase. The features and benefits (return-period, postage paid, trade-up policies, etc...) will often vary depending on which you choose.
