Do the angles 35.5/40.6 work?

Hi!
I've seen a lot of the guidelines posted here on picking diamonds (and would be lost without them lol) but have some trouble with the limits of what is paired with what when trying to guess which angles would work best without an idealscope available. Would 35.5/40.6 angles work? With say a table of 55% and lgf of 80%? Would that be better than 34/40.6 with table of 58% and lgf 80%?

Plug the numbers into the HCA - I used all your information and put in 61.2 for depth (the one figure you didn't state) and got a 1.2.

Yeah I put the numbers into the HCA and they work well for both, just wondering if one was better than the other and how the lgf plays into it since the hca doesn't ask for it.

Edit:
Oops depth is 62.2 for the 35.5 and 60.1 for the 34

Can you get idealscope images for these stones?

I can't :/ the vendor doesn't have an idealscope

They both have potential and yet if it were me, I'd be looking for stones in a different range of numbers. Is there a reason why these are the only two contenders or are you still shopping?

I think the 35.5/40.6 with 55% table will show a bit more fire/dispersion. The 34/40.6 with 58% table may be brighter with a tad less dispersion than the other stone.

Both sound like gorgeous stones. The IS or ASET would be great so you know how they're performing but both are scoring nicely on the HCA.

MissGotRocks - I actually currently have the 34/40.6 but was hoping to upgrade to a higher color grade, and the 35.5/40.6 is one of the few we could afford that had the color (G and below with D-F preferred) with HCA under 2, table <58%, 1.5ct or more, and fluorescence medium or less. I'm not in a rush to upgrade so I don't mind waiting it out for a better diamond to come if this one isn't safe so this doesn't have to be the one but I haven't seen any others in my budget (<$13000) maybe I should just wait till something better comes along

JDDN - thanks! I wish I could get an idealscope/ASET but the vendor I'm working with just doesn't have access to one. Btw off topic, but your avatar is too adorable! Is that a golden pup  ? they are just the best dogs, but I may be biased because I have one ;)

Lol, yes that's our golden retriever when she was about 10 weeks or so. She's our first child- I call her our fur-kid :). Completely agree, they are the best ever!

Does the vendor have video of the stone? I actually think it could be nice, but it doesn't hurt to wait especially since you're in no rush.

Have you seen the 35.5/40.6 stone in person? It could be a nice stone but I'd want to either see images or it before deciding. I know this is not always possible and it makes the guesswork that much harder. There are just some ranges in numbers that would be considered safer but if you could see it for yourself you might know whether it was the one for you or not.

Hey ladies, I woke up this morning only to find the diamond sold  :blackeye: but I suppose I should not have expected anything less since posting about it on pricescope without reserving it.
Here is the link to its images and videos:
