sims sparkle in a different way IMO. neither one is BETTER, it's preference.

If you have equivalently cut stones, then you can look this up in a gemology (or geology) textbook. Since "sims" aren't a monolithic thing, it's very hard to answer that question -- there are tens of types of sims.
