Although I have not seen her on the boards lately, LadyKemma permanently changed my approach to hair care and I now rock hair that would make Rapunzel jealous. That''s been a lasting and permanent influence, for sure.

Hahaha...I think the nicest backhanded compliment I got on PS was about this. I don't remember if it was ChinaCat or LAJennifer, but someone said 'if TGal can handle having kids, I think I can too.'Date: 2/18/2010 12:44:28 PM

PSers have made me much more open to having kids. I've never really been a kid person and I don't really have any friends with kids, but thanks to the PS ladies and their updates about their kds, I can actually imagine DH and I having a little baby of our own someday. I feel like I've learned a lot about what to expect and how rewarding it can be and it's helped me take an emotional step towards being a mom. I knew I'd want one 'someday' and the PS mommies are making that more of a reality.

Oh how I wish I could count the ways. Oh wait, I probably could if I checked my bank statements! ::::shaking fist like BEG:::::
I just need to start working on my custom ring obsession, but my granddaughter is so freaking cute that I get sidetracked by baby items.
Thanks, and BAHAHAHA!!!!Date: 2/18/2010 10:12:07 PM

Guilty (and T-Gal, you are a terrific mommy role model).
And yes, I''m definitely influenced by long time pricescopers. There was a thread on favorite drugstore finds - I still use the Softsoap honey body wash, CG Lash Exact, Aveeno shave cream, and Bain de Luxe body scrub. I love to make Skippy''s Biscochitos during the holiday season. AND I am dying to live in a Purple House.
God that seems so long ago. Sorry your time in the US has been so tough..but I take it that all was worth it to be with your man?Date: 2/18/2010 7:45:39 PM

Ironically (fittingly?) TGal herself was tremendously influential by pointing me in the right direction as far as our immigration went; this fall I will be going through the last leg of a paperwork journey that has been ongoing since ''06!
PS also influenced me to stop caring about about how engagements ''should'' go, because there are plenty of trailblazing women who cast off the staid traditions of how engagements and e-rings ''should'' be done. In learning about diamonds, I realized that you don''t have to have one to be engaged, and that ultimately the ''right'' way to do things is what you and your SO want to do. But not to forget that it''s what ''you'' (plural) not ''you'' (singular) want to do, which is often difficult for the independently-minded ladies that flock to PS.

Edit: and PS also convinced me to get the lovely placeholder ring set in my avatar which I take off only for showering and anything that would damage the antiquing, like harsh chemical cleaners.
