Do partial eternities exist with European shanks?

I love the look of eternity bands but wouldn''t want to get a full eternity due to future sizing worries, but I know that people say the sizing bar slides around to the front of the ring all the time. My mom has a half-eternity and I''d see her sliding it around all the time.

The European shanks are the ones that are sorta squared off a little in the back, to keep the ring from sliding so engagement ring center stones stay in the middle, right? (Please correct me if I''m wrong; this is just what I think I''ve picked up so far.) So, if that''s correct, are there any half-eternities or 3/4 eternities that have a squared-off back so the stones stay in the front?

I have a JB Star half eternity euro shank wband and ering. However, they still slide. But, in my situation, my knuckle is larger than my finger so the rings needed to be sized to fit over the knuckle which could be the reason they still slide. If you don''t have this knuckle issue, I would expect you have a better chance of having the euro shank design keeping the stones on top of your finger. Good luck!

I have pave down half of my band and a euro shank. I know that it is not an eternity band, but sort of similar. I really like the euro shank as I hate having to adjust my ring. My ring is slightly too big right now as I have lost some weight and its winter, but I notice the diamond (which sits pretty high) always stays pretty much in place :)

ive got pave 3/4 the way down my ering, and it doesnt spin too bad, well actually it rarely slides which is nice, and when it does the corners of the euroshank make it easy to straighten out lol i love that its a euroshank!

Hmmm...does it throw a wrench into the works that I''d be interested in an asscher eternity?

i''ve not seen an asscher eternity on a euro shank. you''d probably have to go custom. what size stones are you thinking for the band?

Gwen, I had one on my finger yesterday at Fortunoff. Not in asscher cuts but round brilliants. It was actually a nine stone fishtail pave'' with a Euro shank. It was a designer ring and I can''t remember the name of the designer but someone here may know. Their trademark is a curley que type symbol that was in yellow gold off to the left corner of the Euro shank. The ring was platinum and that symbol really stood out. The ring was .80 points and it was $1995.- Beautiful diamonds. If I can find a picture, I''ll post it.

At the current exchange rate, An American eternity is only 0.65 of a European eternity so, yes, if you’re interested in hanging out with a shank from Europe it will only FEEL like an eternity.

I''m not sure about size yet. This is something I don''t expect to be able to get for quite a while, and have looked at the asscher bands at Facets and think they look lovely, but was wondering about a way to stop the spinnage if I got anything less than a full...

I am hoping to have MWM do my engagement ring and (plain) wedding band. Maybe for a future anniversary present, J could have MWM do a custom asscher 3/4 eternity with a Euro shank for me too...
