When I buy jewelry online, most of the online retailers provide "lifetime upgrade" which means you can trade-in your old one and get a new one by paying the difference. Ok, then this is my concern: How do they deal with the trade-in ones? I am afraid they will just sell them without marking them as "used".
I know diamond is durable and you cannot tell the difference even after decades. However, recently I am going to buy a diamond necklace for my fiancee. Will the necklace be a used one? I think my fiancee will feel uncomfortable if she wears a used necklace.
