I am 37, and look older than my age. People usually guess my age at 45

I look younger than my mother did at my age . . .

People think I'm younger than my years, but I would say "no". I lack wrinkles because I don't tan, never smoked, and I'm not thin.

I seem younger because I refuse to act "matronly" at 52. If 60 is the new 40, I'm only 32.

Traveling gal your mother is a beautiful lady. Good genes can help so much.

Pandora you look like a Boden model!

I think when I was younger I definitely looked younger than my age. If I wanted to win a prize at the fair I just needed to go to the guess your age guy and I'd win. I remember a particularly embarrassing situation when I was 34 out to dinner with my husband and getting carded for a beer, but as we walked I didn't have my wallet with me. My husband was so offended by the confrontive manner in which it was done we ended up leaving.

My mother after receiving her masters worked for a short period of time as a high school teacher. More than once she was reprimanded when walking in the hallway during class periods for not having a hall pass, and trying to explain she was a teacher.
We both have roundish faces.

I definitely feel more aged than I used to (that's what worry and children will do to you). But just last week a fellow employee I rarely run into saw me and asked about my kid and I said kids and my oldest is 8. And the guy kept going "no way you have an 8 year old, that's impossible, you look too young to have an 8 year old". And I said um I had my kids late (had my first kid when at 35).

I think the most important thing is to be at peace with yourself and not try to be something you are not.

I think this is an interesting topic.

Holy heck! I need some of those Asain genes! The photo of your mother is amazing! She is beautiful!

I don't know if I look younger than my age or not. I just don't think about it I guess. But, a few years ago I was having lunch with a friend and she randomly brought up the subject of how she asked her kids why I (yes me!) look so young. I was like What? It never occurred to me that I look younger than I am. Her kids replied, I have a young personality and no wrinkles. Hmmmmm....I guess staying out of the sun and using SPF 15 has helped.

So I guess when someone brought it up I started noticing it more. On several occasssions when I have been with my son and this is throughout the years, where he was 16, 19, 25, etc... on several occassions people thought I was his girlfriend or wife. Lol! I am sure he could have died of embarrassement! And truthfully it was embarrassing for me too.

Most people think I am my daughter's older sister. Go figure!

But I honestly think I look my age. I had my kids at a younger age than most seem to have their kids these days and perhaps I don't look old enough to be their Mom--I am though. I am sure it is one of the reasons I recieve these commments or compliments--however you want to look at it.

Without my kids I probally look my age. Lol!

I do think I have good genes though. My Mom is 73 and has no gray hair--not a single one. And no wrinkles either--it's amazing! She's completely natural, no botox, no hair color and usualy doesn't wear make up.

I wonder how everyone feels about mom's who "let's just say" dress in pink head to toe and have the words PINK across their bottom? Like that Mom in the movie "Mean Girls"? Or dress in clothing their teenage kids would wear? It's one of my pet peeves, but maybe it only bothers me? If I were a teenager I would NOT want my Mom dressing in my clothes, shopping in the same stores as me or wearing anything even remotely similar to something I would want to wear....

I agree that Asian genes do help, my mom looks like she's not a day over 40, and she's 62!

I think I look younger than my age. People usually guess that I'm in my late 20's/early 30's. Very few know that I'm turning 39 this year. I think it's because I also have greasy skin that keeps the wrinkles at bay. Here's a picture of me and my bro's wife. I'm the one with the greasy face. This was taken a couple months ago.

Edited to add: I do tan though. I'm not a sun-worshipper, but I do like to have color as opposed to most Asian friends of mine who avoid the sun at all cost!

My children tell me I look like I'm in my 20's. I still get carded. I'll be 42 on Aug. 1st. There are days that when I look in the mirror I feel like I'm in my 50's. :p
