Oh good, another thread about women feeling bad about themselves!

Us who think this thread is ridiculous are being "intolerant." lol

It appears that kenny thinks anyone who disagrees with another human being, including him, is intolerant. If that's the case, I'm the most intolerant person in the world. I HAVE SO MANY OPINIONS. SO MANY.

Thing, I'm going to give you the same speech I gave MC the other day. It is HORRIBLY rude of you to not consider those of us that drink soda while we read PS before you post something like this. DIET COKE UP MY NOSE IS NOT COMFORTABLE.

Thank you and good day.

It ain't just women.
Men also feel pressure to look young and thin.
I think the media/society/reality is more inclined to make women feel bad about how they look and men feel bad about their lack of achievement/wealth/successfulness/alphaness. I don't see my guy friends agonizing over the way they look the way my female friends do. On the other hand, my female friends seem more open to taking low-paying jobs than my male friends.

I don't think I look heavier than I actually am. I just know that I am not as skinny as what other people think I am. They just can't see the belly pouch and muffin top because I hide them under clothes.

LIAR! I saw a pic of you rocking a Gucci Sukey today (because I am contemplating it, and obviously had to look for modelling pics...not that I'm stalking or anything :cheeky: ) and you look freakin' HOT. There is no existance of any such pouch or muffin top that you named above. None whatsoever!!

Can we cool it with the Kenny bashing please?
Keep on topic.

If you must, start a thread with Kenny as the topic and bash away.

I don't understand how kenny is being sexist...?

I think having 2 threads back to back, started by men, about women thinking they look fat and old is a bit much. I guess sexist isn't quite the right word. I'm kind of sick and not articulating my thoughts well today.

ETA the focus on the appearance of women is misogynistic and it gets annoying.
thing...you wanna about talk political issues instead?..

I think I feel/look heavier than I am or I am surrounded by really kind people.

I know for a fact I look thinner. At my last weigh in I was 187lbs. My current bodyfat is 17.5%. My measurements are 38 - 29 1/4 - 42 1/2 inches. But according to BMI, I'm obese (which always cracks me up).

I don't sweat it.

Women unfortunately have a stigma and a fixation with the scale. Seriously, most need to get off the scale and throw the damn thing away.

Arcadian, I have almost exactly the same measurements, am ~5'8 and weigh more than 30 lbs less. That's crazy!

I think yes.

you're also 4 inches taller than me too.

Haven, Im the same way. Or when I go to the mall to try clothes, and have a 3 way mirror and im like, "seriously?"

That's ok. I feel damn good about myself :)

The opposite ever since I lost weight! I still think that I have this image of myself as being heavy and the fact that I lost weight hasn't caught up completely yet. So when I see pictures or look in the mirror sometimes my reactions is "Wow, thats me?!"

I really wasn't trying to bash you, so apologies if you took my comments that way.

LOL. I am surprised that you recognized the SN since I don't post that frequently. And that just proved that I am very good at concealing those jiggly parts and sucking it all in. =D

I know I am fat, but when I see pictures I think I look fatter then I think I am....not cool at all.....

I don't know. I don't have any sort of mental tabulation that says " xlbs = y look" or similar. I have no idea. It isn't really something I've pondered, either. If the car suspension can take it, and the clothes zip or button, I'm going to say that I look good. Hot, even. There's no merit to considering it more deeply.

Then why does the title say women?

The law says it had to match DF's thread.

You are free to start any thread you want, within PS rules and I am free to not open it.

I'd never try to control what others post.

After I read the above postings, I went back to see who had started this thread, expecting to see that it was Dancing Fire. What other construction was I to put on what Kenny wrote above other than that Dancing Fire named the thread and Kenny, therefore, couldn't change it?

But Kenny started the thread.

So I thought of the line from the joke about the little boy who tells his parents, "Whatever I do, you blame on me!!!"

Umm...habit? You see, unlike you, I have only one child. When someone broke something or made a mess, I was used to being able to figure out who did it.
