Do chevrons matter on a diamond under a carat?

Hi! I'm hoping someone answer whether or not the number of chevrons will be noticeable in a .73 diamond?

I'm assuming it's a princess?

On a smaller stone I would prefer less chevrons to get some bigger flashes and hopefully be able to see at least an X in the middle
of the princess. But, I think it all depends on what you want to see (bigger flashes vs. smaller flashes).

That's what I was thinking. I say it will be visable, and its a matter of which look you prefer. I prefer less as well

Yes,
It is even more noticeable in smaller diamonds than larger ones.

chevrons are sets of facets on the pavilion of a princess cut.
This is a 2 chevron design and the arrows point to the chevron facets.

3 chevron shown.
4 chevron are also not uncommon and 5 or 6 is unusual but out there at times.

The more chevrons the smaller the light is broken up when viewed from the top.
That is because more chevrons results in more and smaller virtual facets.
