I went into a local jeweler and saw Bez Ambar setting I really like but there isn''t much info about them here on PS and their website has restricted access to average Jo''s like me. anyone know anything about them?

i just bought my engagement ring from there it''s nice there''s no question about that........but, i would say that their customer service needs a little work, maybe it was my fault for thinking that a store on rodeo dr. would strive to make sure the customer was satisfied with the finished product. i thought at first maybe it was because i''m not a millionaire, but i talked to this jeweler in orange county and he came across the same problems. You might want to email or call and request a catalog that they have, it''s ok........but i think there''s nothing like actually seeing their stuff in person...........

MrsS -- you need to stay off the computer!

BB&B used to carry Bez Ambar but they do not any more b/c they had a lot of problems with their invisible settings with stones falling out. I almost bought one of their settings a few years ago but I didn''t b/c of the problems.

There is a jeweler in the Chicago area called James & Williams, I think (I''ll have to look it up to be sure) that carries their line.

I sold a lot of Bez Ambar, just called my old boss for ya mrssalvo. They no longer carry the line. Sorry to do this so late, but that''s the deal.

i bought a Boundless invisible set diamond band from them 5 years ago. i paid for an 8-stone ring, but they made me a 7-stone ring and didn''t adjust the price. i had to harass them befoe they gave me a refund for the missing stone. now i''m stuck with a diamond band that doesn''t go all the way across my finger like it was supposed to.

i also don''t like how the band turned out...from the side profile, it looks like metal teeth! it''s beautiful when viewed straight on, though.

hehe, i asked this question almost 3 weeks ago and go no reply''s. i actually decided to not pursue them any farther after no responses from 2 emails and a phone call. apparently they didn''t want or need my business. You also have to registar to see the rings on their website and even then the access is limited. I don''t like having to try that hard to find out more information about a company. Their settings are nice but no better than ritani or many other designer settings where the customer service is much better. I wouldn''t purchase one of their settings nor will I ever recommend them...

Hee hee from me too!

I contacted the company and got the owner, himself. And he wasn''t any more help that the janitor. Told me to register on the website, I told him I just did and that was why I was calling because I didn''t see what I was looking for. He assured me the catalog would arrive within 5 days, and in the meantime, my login password would arrive via email. This password will gain your access according to the way you answered the questionaire on the website...NOT KIDDING.

Oh he wasn''t interested in my potential purchase from his line, but how I heard about the company. I said Pricescope. (Is it Houmedgal who has a bezabar?) I should have said ...now that I have heard...now that I am interested...you want me to pass some quiz test to make sure I am deserving of ownership of your beloved merchandise? EEEKKKK! I was a customer for crying out loud...he ended the call without handing the phone to the sales department.

Still waiting for the magically delicious leprechan to appear with the password dust...or at least the blasted catalog!

Hee Hee.

Door Knob, you totally crack me up. Geez. Guess the company is having major quality control problems , from what I heard from my old boss tonight. When I sold their line, they were new and exciting. But that was in the 90's. I haven't seen their products in a long time. Guess they got big and let things slip. It's a shame they didn't do more to pay attention to quality.

I fell in love with micropave and halo's after seeing Bez Ambar rings. That was when I first started my search for the perfect setting. There is a retailer on Rodeo called James Elliot. I saw the ring and HAD to have it! I started doing research on Bez Ambar, and not much comes up. Like everybody has said, there customer service is poor and they are not enthusiatic to make a sale. I think b/f would have even bought it, but the service just wasn't there. We ended up having a ring custom made (still in the process), got a much better quality stone and much better service. So, the ring was a nice inspiration, but so glad we didn't purchase anything from them.

cut rock, i'll post a picture as soon as i take one.

i was lucky enough to get my stone from one of my auntie's who works in the industry. unfortunately, my fiancee really wanted that bez setting so i figured i would just suck it up and get it there assuming that it was going to be made correctly. But they left some diamonds out of the setting, when they called to get my credit card number to pay for it they forgot to mention that, so when i checked my mail box, i saw the fedex box....... opened it up and was very dissapointed. i was planning on proposing the following weekend. i called the james elliot store and the said they were sorry and ask if i could drop it off so they could fix it, the only problem was that i couldn't drive to l.a. from hawaii. i tried to get a password.........never got it...........i finally got a catalog, but unless you're making serious cash, i don't know if that catalog will help. it's really too bad, the make really nice stuff, but their customer service stinks....if i was the general manager there, i would seriously do some overhauling to their staff.

now i have to figure out where or who can make her bookend wedding bands in a nice micro pave style to match her ring. i cringe at the thought of having to go back there and ask them to do it for me.................

Have you seen the Michael b wisp bands? Pearlman''s carries them and I think they might work?

here''s a pic of what they look like with a ring in the middle, you can see how thin they are:

mahalo, mrs. salvo for your assistance. those michael b. ones look pretty good. but i''m also looking for something similar to her setting. i haven''t seen anything like the two matching bookends that bez ambar makes. so i don''t know if i should try to go down the custom route and have them made. is there a difference when you get something made custom made compared to if i was going to buy those bands from michael b.?

is there any way you can post of picture of the ring? I wouldn''t get the michael b if they''re not a match. I would think you have a better shot at matching by going the custom route.
