Do All Online Vendors Share Same Inventory

I ordered a diamond online this morning. But I was also considering another one at the last minute so plugged in the same specs (exactly) and sure enough a store here in my town has the exact same diamond with same item number and inclusions in the same place Etc. So I was just wondering if online jewelers have access to same inventory as every other store anywhere. Thanks, Mary

Most jewelers have some limited amount of inventory that belongs exclusively to them - those you won't find elsewhere.

Most also access the virtual stone inventory that jewelers use to source stones from dealers when their clients' wants can't be satisfied by an inhouse stone. These stones are available to nearly all jewelers, and those are the ones that you'll see listed as available by several jewelers.
