we''re pretty nuts too, but our friends are all nuts as well.....family is used to it. my FI has been to 200+ shows and i''ve been to about 120 now. yes, i said we were nuts!

200+ shows is amazing!!!! I started to listen to DMB in highschool but my mom didn''t allow me to go to concerts when I was in H.S. So my first show wasn''t until 2002. I met FI in 2004 and I took him to his 2nd show ever. We went to Alpine Valley (we are originally from MN). From there FI made it a point that we go to as many shows as we can. Which is hard because I have a full time job and only so many vacation hours. But since 2004 we have been to 15 shows together so all in all I have been to 18, not nearly as much as you, but I go to as many as I can!!!! If I could follow them for one whole summer I so would. You meet the best people at these shows. We met some cool people when we were at the Gorge and have met up with them at a couple shows since then. My best three summers have been 2005 (the gorge), 2006 (Fenway Park), and 2007 (peidmont park).

I love your ideas for your wedding. I highlighted the ones I really like! Is it ok if I build off some of your ideas??? I love the idea of ants into wh, but we would probably do a live version of nancies into wh. we both really love that combo, plus nancies is one of FI top 5 I think.

Have you thought of doing a live version of loving wings?? There is a few really good ones.

The firedancer idea is great. I would like to surprise FI with a grooms cake of the firedancer if budget allows it. He would be so excited!

We should definetly bounce some ideas around!

hey! i''m so glad i scrolled to the next page this morning to see your post! of COURSE you can use those ideas! i think its great to have found another DMB wedding planner. my wedding isnt until 09 so i have lots of time to think up new things.
my FI has been seeing shows since 97...i started in 98. we met in va beach in 2002. we knew OF each other (he was a taper of the shows and i was writing a DMB newsletter) and i finally introduced myself to him at that show. we started dating soon after and the rest is history!
the gorge is an amazing venue- we''ve been there twice - 2002 and 2004. its an expensive trip, but i hope to do it again sometime. i REALLY wanted to wait until 2009 tourdates come out to plan our wedding date. i wanted to get married the day before a show and then have another reception (tailgating) in the parking lot of the venue, but even my FI said that was a bit over the top LOL

my favorite places have been msg, red rocks, chula vista, and deer creek indiana. ive been to alpine, too.... we''d love to hit a FL show sometime - we have friends who go to those each year. its so true- you meet the best people through dmb! all of our closest friends are DMB friends

i have the summers off, so its been easier for me to see as many shows as i have.

i love the loving wings from the benaroya show (acoustic) so we may use that but just shorten it. my FI is good with splicing songs and changing them around if needed.

my other idea is to use the water/wine jam somewhere....i''d love to say it (or loving wings quotes) in my vows but i''d bawl my eyes out through it.
