DK resetting original engagement ring

I'm having DK design a ring with my original engagement ring stone. I sent pictures of a couple of designs I liked. I think he did a great job. He asked how I wanted it to look under the stone. I'm thinking what he drew looked fine. I don't have any experience designing a ring. Should I just go with what he designs?

You need to post a picture of your CAD so we know what he designed.

The bezel will be milgrain which isn't shown on the CAD. I asked for plain band. Ring will be in platinum. The prongs will be petite claw. I'm hoping I described that right. Thank you.

Thank you. I've seen several designs similar to this and I really like them. I like how it will be sitting also. I think they have done a nice job. I only had a top view of a couple of rings to show.

I* would probably make the shank/gallery area feel less heavy by opening it up some...otherwise, if the current CAD suits you, go with

That is a good idea. I will ask. My new ring is really open so that would help them be more cohesive. This is a side view of my other ring.

Thank you. I never wore a band with the original setting. Plus I will probably just wear this on my right hand.

I've gone with a final design and now I'll wait my turn in line. Hopefully before you know it I'll be in SMTB. Thank you for the suggestions.
