Did he go for several variations of each colour of the rainbow so that you can choose?

This is my kind of level of obsession, only my skills are very rudimentary. But I do that, too. Last time I worked on a ring design, I made a folder that, between source images, WIP files and final renderings, eventually reached nearly a 100 separate files.

He did! They are like adorable yummy jolly ranchers from actual gemstones I found that I liked, lol! My hubby is a photographer so it was, per his words “easy”… I tried to watch how he did it but I got lost- it wasn’t “easy”

I can have him give me step by step instructions how he did it and message you though if you want!

They’re like sirens. If you see a violet diamond headed your way, CLOSE YOUR EYES! Lucky that consumer-facing websites do not offer them in sizes above ceratopogonidae or I would have no house or car or clothes or food.

Omg so I just had a crazy idea. Can you make removable heads and have different gemstones set so that can you can screw into the ring to change the look whenever you want? That would be amazing.

You're very kind. I have a basic understanding of how he probably did it, it's mostly some skillful layering and cutting plus possibly a bit of transforming to get the shape just right. Key word being "skillful" - just because you know how something is done in theory, doesn't mean you're able to execute it to the same level achieved by the pro. I also use freeware software, I imagine the actual Adobe software is a fair bit more sophisticated compared to my paint.net.

If you want to chat about unhealthy levels of obsession with mock ups, boy do I have stories to tell.

Oh no, no, no, no...you're looking at this all wrong. This is actually a very frugal way of saving thousands of dollars in expense for all those extra settings and side diamonds! Frugal...repeat after me...frugal....

Right?? Frugal indeed. Imagine the cost of all those settings!

It kinda reminds me of having a favourite top or pants and then going back only to realise they don't make them anymore lol. This way she won't have to worry about it "selling out" ever again.
