Anyone been to Disneyland lately? We have a trip booked soon staying at the grand Californian and I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see all of the Halloween decorations. Booked us a character breakfast at storytellers because we’ll be there on his birthday . I really do hope that all of the characters come to our table, especially daisy because I love her!

When are you going? Grand Californian is awesome when it's decorated! They'll decorate for Halloween near the end of this month. Good luck resisting all the fun merchandise they'll have! School starts back in another week or two depending on the district, so crowds start thinning. One of the things Disney does best is lines. Those folks are organized! I was waiting for a flight last year in Europe and it was chaos. I commented to my DD that Disney would never let that happen! They can be militant, but they are efficient!

Buy a couple of those neck fans because waiting in lines can get hot! They have water bottle filling stations so take empty bottles with you. You also will have the luxury of going to the hotel and pool when you need a break.

I love character breakfasts! It's hard to let the kids have their time with the characters when all I want to do is push them aside and have my time! :lol-2: It's nice if you see them then so you don't have to wait in the lines at the park.

Anaheim and Disney have really been working to make sure the area is nice. They've poured a lot of money into it and it shows. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and it's a very family friendly area. Try not to eat meals at the parks, just snacks. The food is "eh" and expensive. Some food can be ordered on the app, like beignets. There can be hours-long waits for them. Yelp is your best friend when it comes to eating out.

I think the only area that's closed right now is Splash Mountain and Critter Country. I love Pooh, so that always disappoints me. I wish they'd hurry up! Disneyland is magical! There's just something about it. Have a fabulous time!

We’re going beginning of September :) we’re starting at universal studios first . I know it’s small, but I’m dying to see super Mario world . I am beyond excited for this trip . I also booked us lunch at Carthay circle lounge because the food looks good ha ha . We’re doing park hopper and genie plus to help with wait times. I know a few rides will be down , but I’m trying not to be sad about it. I think Pooh will be closed , but I’m happy haunted mansion is finally back up . Never done a virtual Que before, so this will be interesting. We’re definitely laying out by the pool and relaxing once it gets hot. We’ll probably mobile order a lot , seems pretty easy to do as I’ve been looking in the app . Will I get sick of dole whip? Ha ha I’ve warned him about buying too much and not having room in our luggage, but since he’s in logistics, he says we can ship it all back if needed , so shop away he says . Don’t have to tell me twice ;) we’re headed to San Diego after , so I know I’ll be shopping a lot there too thanks for your kind words and advice , it’s much appreciated!
