I have to say that I''m quite intrigued by this - but - having a hard disposal in my DW I''d be scared if the egg popped open!

Clever marketing for a really foolish idea.
Dishwashing chemicals (specific to automatic dishwashers) are harsh and jewellery should not be exposed to them.

Also not loving the idea of leftover food pummelling through the egg. Sheesh.

Yeah, I vote no. No way in hell, I''d put my bling in the dishwasher. Seriously, is it really that inconvenient to let the jewers clean them in the mall, or get a toothbrush and windex or a cheapie ultrasonic from the dept. store? Jewlery is placed at risk everyday when we wear it take it off, what have you. Why ADD to that risk!

In the past I''ve cleaned rings in the dishwasher
11.gif
by safetypinning the ring to a measuring spoon and dangling it over the side of the cutlery basket so it doesn''t hit anything. No need for a plastic egg that has to be ziptied(!) to the upper rack of your dishwasher *every time* you use it
14.gif
. (Maybe put it in the cutlery basket instead to save zipties?)

Currently I use a gentle toothbrush and dawn dish soap - my ring gets nice and clean that way.

I''m all for jewellery cleanlieness awareness. Clean your jewels people!
