Does anyone know if Dimend Scaasi''s online listings are in house diamonds? Also, has anyone experienced one of their online viewings? Is it helpful? Worth it?
diamondseeker2006 recently did one of their online veiwings, I think.
I THINK that their stones are in-house. I had purchased a stone from WF and wanted a dscaasi setting, but I found out that they do not sell their settings separately. I ended up going with a local jeweler to custom-make my ring.
I like how you can chat live w/ a CSR though, that''s pretty helpful. You can ask them directly if their stones are in-house.
They are a good company to work with though, just from my limited encounters with them.
When I contacted them, I was uncertain whether the particular stones were in-house or not. The diamonds I was interested in were newly listed and had April certifications (and it was late April). As it turned out, they did not have them in-house, but they had them in the next day. There were 3 that I was interested in. The one I chose was a hearts and arrows stone, but the other two were nice ideal cuts as well. Some of their diamonds have the GIA number inscribed on the girdle, which is nice. The thing that was interesting was that while many diamonds are listed on multiple vendor sites when they are not in-house, these diamonds were not listed by anyone else that I could see at the time. So I did have a first shot at them through Dimend Scaasi since no one else had them listed. They never mentioned me paying a penny for bringing them in. And they did know the cutter of the diamond we bought, so it is not like they didn''t know anything about the stones.
I had been looking at these vendor sites for weeks, so it was sort of fun to have some new stones come up with the specifications we were looking for. We would have been happy to have bought from WF, GOG, Wink, etc., but you just have to wait for one of them to get in the diamond you want! (Of course, I haven''t gotten it yet! So I won''t know for sure if it''s "the one" until I actually see it!).
(I gave you the link to my online viewing experience in your other thread)
