Just wanted to share my experience so far with dimend SCAASI. I''ve been chatting with Lexi for a few weeks about what I''m looking for in an engagement ring (budget, setting, priorities on the 4Cs, etc.) and she has been great ! I set my budget, picked a setting, and she''s narrowed the selection down to one diamond she feels is the best - I''m scheduled for an Innerview session today to look at it.

One reason I''m particularly impressed is that I told her I would be willing to increase my budget by approx. 15% on the stone if there happened to be a better option available at what I''d consider to be a significantly higher price point. She checked it out and said the diamond she''d already found was still my best option. On top of this, the stone she had in mind for me had already brought me in under budget. This has left me feeling very confident that she''s out to find the best diamond to suit my needs and not necessarily the biggest sale for dimend SCAASI. There was even a "G" stone available for not much more than the one we''re looking at (an "H") and despite the fact that it was an ideal cut, she warned against it as the cut was not as ideal as the ideal H we have in mind. She''s also preemptively ruled out some more expensive H stones I asked about because they were not eye-clean or as good of a cut, even though the cut was identified as "ideal" for all of them. At no point have I had even a slight feeling I was being upsold (unlike every B&M store I''ve been to in the past month) and there was no hesitation on her part regarding the stone she''d already found even when the opporunity was presented to sell a more expensive stone, which could have easily been "justified" to someone with limited knowledge & experience such as myself.

Call me sentimental but I''m not looking at this purchase as an investment, at least in financial terms. Admittedly not having the biggest budget in the world, my goal is to get the most beautiful stone & setting possible without breaking the bank. I absolutely feel that Lexi is on board with getting me the most beautiful, tension-appropriate stone for my money and the stone we''ll be the most happy with vs what might be considered the "best" diamond from a 4Cs perspective and a larger sale for her.

By the way, I''m looking at the TR-005 Gelin Abaci tension setting in white gold

That''s great that you have had a positive experience with them! I quite like their tapered shank Tiffany 6-prong setting, and didn''t remember seeing many (if any) reviews on them. Have you gotten all the numbers for the stone (table, depth, crown and pavilion angles) to put through the HCA, just to check?

Yep. Scored a 1.9, so within the 0-2 range :)

Do keep us informed as you work through it all. I have a fondness for the Scaasi 6 prong tiff replica myself. I have not contacted them as yet, but am interested in your experience. My boyfriend and I are trying to buy a house this summer, so the e-ring might be put off a bit. I will probably end up with a record length of time being a L-I-W!! So I will get my fix through you. Thanks!

Ok, so the ring is ordered! Lexi ended up finding a triple x .72C, H, SI2, Signature cut round as well after I mentioned I could potentially increase my budget but the price difference was a little too much to pull off. Ended up going with a 0.6C, H, SI1, Ideal round cut and the TR-005 Gelin Abaci tension setting in 14k white gold

Maybe not the biggest diamond in the world but having completed my innerview session, it sparkles beautifully and Lexi explained that it will look larger in a tension setting than it would in a traditional prong setting. Again, there was no pressure to go with the larger, more expensive stone and Lexi assured me that I couldn''t go wrong with either stone as they both met her (high

) standards for a tension setting - at least 5-6 more expensive stones from their site that I proposed did not meet her standards for a tension which is why I feel confident in my choice. We (my gf Jessica and I) love the clean, contemporary, non-fussy look of the setting as well.

They''re putting a rush on it for me as our wedding is actually in 5 weeks and they typically take 4 weeks to make!

Won''t exactly be the traditional proposal considering we''ve already planned the wedding but the whole family is going to be out this summer (we live on the opposite side of the country from my parents) so we figured why not take advantage of everyone already being here.

If anyone''s familiar with Banff national park in Alberta, Canada, we''re getting married on the terrace of the Rimrock Resort. It''s got an incredible mountain view and just by chance we''re being married by the Mayor

I''ve attached a sample image of the TR-005.

The wedding in Banff sounds wonderful!! I''ve never actually been there myself but my gf has and she absolutely loves it. Its her favorite place in the world and a wonderful place to get married. Congratulations, both on the marriage and a great ring!

Wonderful!! It''s great to hear a happy ending here and I can''t wait to see your pictures once the ring is done.
