Diff btw .10 and .12 carat melee

Hi,
I have a question about my engagement ring I am getting designed at the moment.
Could people please tell me is there a visable difference between .10 and .12 melee in a a halo and a band?

I am getting the halo oval ring made at the moment and I have to decide on the size of the small diamonds?
In a wedding band, will .10 (10 pointers) change the bands mm width compared to .12 (12 pointers) being in a band? If so how much?

The ring that my ring is being designed from was a 1.52 cushion cut halo with .12 melee. My diamond is 1.10 (8.55x5.8 and I am not sure what to go with.

I have a wedding band with 10 pointers and it is 3mm wide. Whether I''d go larger would depend on the size of the e-ring stone and setting. But I actually found that a band with smaller stones complimented my diamond more, so I got a Tiffany Legacy band that is 2mm and has very small stones.

If you want the same look as the 1.5 cushion with 12 point halo stones, you''d need to go to about 8 pointers with a 1.1 ct. diamond. In fact, I think the prettiest halos are the most delicate ones, so I''d go smaller than that.

I''d really advise waiting until this ring is finished and then try on bands with it to see what looks best.

just a note: i think i meant 1 pointers and 1.2 pointers, not 10 and 12 pointers in my post
