We''re supposed to, but haven''t - it was included in our package too. Ask your photog if he/she would mind taking a few pics with you to get a feel for how you work in front of the camera... my photog does it to basically get test shots and see how you work with him, and what angles work best for you face...
The sitting fee for e-pics and bridal portraits are included in our wedding package, but you only get a 5 by7 and eight wallets of one of those sessions. Anything else you have to order separately. We''ll probably take them, but I doubt we''ll spend the extra money. I think my FI wants to use the included photos to get the bridal portraits. For us, it''s not worth it. We have tons of photos of us in casual settings, and we''ll have lots of pro shots of us from the wedding. I think it depends on your budget and what you really want.
We are having ours done next week! It is part of our wedding photography package, as well. I like the idea because the photo can be blue-jeans casual, which at least in my case, provides a much more accurate portrayal of my fiance''s and my personalities as opposed to the formality of wedding photos. You may as well go for it if you have a good option with a decent price
One of my good friends is a photography student who is really talented. We went to the Boston Gardens with her and spent about an hour. They all came out great! We only paid her the price of film and developing. I would recommend asking around art schools or maybe just a relative who''s good with a camera- we really lucked out but for something as informal as engagement pictures it might be worth looking into.
bf and I are just using a cropped version of a pic taken at his work holiday party. I cropped them on shutterfly.com and had them printed and they''re perfect. Saved us some money too haha
