not yet but plan to

Yup. It’s required by my job.

Yes my dh and I both got the (preservative free) flu vaccination this year in the beginning of October.

I have never had a flu shot.
But last January I did get the flu and I was soooooo sick!
So this year, yes, I will get my first flu shot.

Nope

@stracci2000 please get the preservative free flu vaccination. It comes in single dose and it contains no mercury and leaves out other harmful ingredients. Much safer IMO.

As long as my workplace keeps offering it for free to their employees.

Missy, I don't know if I can. My employer allows us to get a free flu shot, and I'm guessing that I have no choice in which formula they are giving.
But I will certainly ask! Thanks for the tip!

Most of the vaccinations given now are preservative free I believe...definitely request it. If you have sensitivities I believe they have to accommodate you...just thinking out loud.

Yes

Nope, not this year, not last year and not next year either.

Yep, it’s offered by my employer!

DH got his but I had to confirm it was okay through my Drs first. Got my okay but they were out of vaccines for the day. Woke up unable to walk. I'm improving so will get the vaccine when my muscles are less sensitive and I'm not relying on my one good arm to use a cane.

Yes!

Yep. The whole fam at the same time.

Yes, and I got the stronger one for people over 65 as I have since I "qualified" for it. On the other hand, my great-nephew said his significant other had the 'flu ...and had gotten it from having a 'flu shot. (He is an interventional cardiologist.) I think live vaccine is only used for the nasal spray, so I don't know how that is possible.

Yup! I started getting flu shots again three years ago when my GP told me she had seen healthy teenagers die from the flu when she was working in the hospital as an intern. Last year it made me feel a little punkish (aches and pains like I had a fever), but totally worth.

Yes, I work in healthcare so it makes sense. I’ve only had flu once but it was so awful I never want to experience it again!

Yes!

Not yet, I have an appointment scheduled.

the one time i've had a flu shot i also got the flu, so no. flu strains seem to be getting stronger though so i might try again.

All the vaccines given at our clinic (and those given in the last 10 years or so at the pharmacy) have been preservative free... in my experience, it's actually more difficult to find one that isn't preservative free. :)

Yes! Got mine about a month ago as soon as they arrived at the clinic.

I haven't yet but will be. It's free across canada.

Yes, none of us has time for the flu. We are protected.

Yes, they offer it every year at my office.

Nope.

Lots of luck, TooPatient! Your life is really not fair.
