Just curious, I feel like most PSers get stuff online but I am interested to see a poll of this information.

I voted online, because I bought the stone online, but ended up going to a local B&M for the custom setting.

Well I will post about it since what happened to me does not fit an option. We purchased my ring in 1998 and lost it during a home remodel and I went looking at our local B&M but felt I could save some money elsewhere and I remembered a friend who bought their ering from the internet. I am sooooo happy finding Pricescope which lead to my new ring (which looks almost exactly like my original ring). I would not hesitate to buy something from our online vendors.

Well, I got my upgrade 8 years ago, before PS. Lately, I have been buying stones online, but still getting them set locally at a B&M. We have lots of fine talent in my area.

Online :) because the prices here in OZ are seriously astronomical for tight cut stones compared to the states and very much harder to find.

I didn''t vote, because I bought my diamond online and my setting from a B&M. So, 50/50.

Option 4: Originally bought e-ring at a B&M, lost it, then bought replacement on the internet.

Just for you Skippy

All of my diamond purchases have been online. I made one purchase for my original setting at a B&M and ultimately I regretted it because the workmanship was poor and the ring smooshed like a pancake. Luckily the insurance company paid for a replacement (that I purchased online). All of my online purchases through JA, WF, BN have gone extremely well. The quality, price and service are much better than I''ve experienced at local B&M''s. I have found B&M''s that I like and would buy from, but usually their prices are much higher than online.

Ooo, my vote brought the first two to be even!

I voted B&M, but all my research were done online.
