Did it POP out at you?

Hello Everyone! This is my first post and I am learning alot from everyone''s post!! People are surprised by how much I already know when I go browsing at he stores

I thought this ring shopping process would be easy because I always thought there''s gonna be that one rings that just pops out at me, but so far nothing. I have a few I really like but nothing have POPPED out. I am still in the process of shopping for a setting. I''ve found two I really like and thought I share and get your much needed opinions!

When I tried this one it gave me a very vintage-y look, which I love. It looks very delicate, pretty, and feminine. There''s a similar style to this that sits up higher but the twists are are more open, (I think there are a few PS-ers that have it) and I liked this one better because it was more delicate. The only downside to this was I thought it might have looked too thin on my fingers. I will have to go back and try it on again and take pictures so I can see!

2. HOF Felicity Split Shank http://www.lussori.com/hearts-on-fire-felicity-engagement-ring-split-shank-wedding-ring-set.html

I tried this on that their only retail store in the Borgata. My BF really liked this one! Their diamonds are soo Bling it''s really crazy

I really like this one too but the wedding band may look a little weird with it unless I get a band that especially goes with that ring which means it will have to be a little curved =/ This ring is also more modern looking than the Tacori which is very vintage-y.

As for the diamond, I thought I made up my mind to go with the round brillant, but if I go with the HOF setting a cushion would look nice huh? O btw, my specs so far for the center are a H&A, ideal, .90-1.3 carats, color F-H

What do you guys think?

HI there, personally I will go for the first one, its richer in details. The straight band and higher setting should compliment your wedding band too! I had a curvy band before, it left an undesirable ''gap'' when I wear it with my straight wedding band.I had another lower set diamond that have the same problem too. maybe you can try it on with your wedding band to see if it goes well together, should you intend to wear it together Its a beautiful piece!

Thanks! I haven''t really thought too much into the wedding band yet(which I should), but I''m having a hard enough time with the E-ring!

I like the Tacori too. It looks more finished than the HOF.

I agree that you should consider whether or not you''ll be wearing the Ering with the band. I imagine that my future fi would wear the band regularly & the Ering on special occasions, rarely together at the same time.

Oh, I wanted to address the topic of "pop." I sort of had the same expectation as you when looking at rocks & rings. I thought at some point a ring would really blow me away. Sometimes I wonder if that actually happened, but I think after a point of looking at soooo many rings and sooo many diamonds, it''ll be really hard for that to happen. So, IMO, it''s best to take some time away and then come back to see if these rings give you that feeling of excitement.

I like the Tacori setting better of the two. I looked at settings for a year before I found one that "POPPED" out at me. I had given up on finding one that I just fell in love with but it did happen I just had to wait for it. Of course I had the time to wait as this was a ten year anniversary upgrade ring (if this was an engagement ring I wouldn''t have had that kind of time). I think it''s a good idea to go to B&M stores and try on all different kinds of settings to help you decide what you like and what looks best on your hand.
