YES! ASET is especially helpful in evaluating the light return of fancy cut stones like princess cut unless you get a AGS0 princess cut diamond.
 
So it wouldn't be safe to pick a stone just off the measurements?
 
Almost guaranteed to get a dud because there are more duds out there than well cut fancies. It is impossible to buy well cut fancy cuts sight unseen going by only the numbers, unlike rounds.

Better yet, have the people here help you pick two other stones that look promising and get an ASET for all 3 at once- gives you the best odds.
 
It actually hasnt shipped so i will go ahead and request the images. Thanks so much for your help.
 
Can you get the link to work? Or maybe I'm the only one who cannot open it. The seasoned members can view the video and have a fair idea whether the stone will ASET well or poorly. JA allows up to 3 free ASETs but they must be done all at the same time so you might as well pick 2 more stones. If you post your budget and requirements, they will help you pick 2 more potential stones.
 
Thank you for those suggestions. I very much like the second one but might be a little out of my comfort price range. Do you think I should try looking at some I colors as well? Just don't want any hint of yellow to the naked eye
