Though hilarious, isn't this lowering herself to his level?

Yes, she really did tweet it but she did not create it. The parody letter was shown on Jimmy Kimmel's show but I don't know if it originated from there. Personally, I don't find it all that funny. The whole f*king thing is a tragic shitshow.

As I said, IMO she's lowering herself to his level.
Disgraceful.

I hope this ugliness and tweet thing is not the future of American politics on both sides of the aisle.

This ugliness and tweet thing is not only the future of American politics, it is the PRESENT.

I dunno, I think it's funny, but incredibly sad that this is where we are today. Maybe our problem was we grew up thinking a president and candidates should have values? Be open minded? Be concerned with the 'all' of us, be well educated, be strong, be compassionate and make very very hard decisions and explains, yeah a wonderland but that is what I thought till we hit the Clinton years (my 40s), the Clarence Thomas disgusting affair, I've been sad and disgusted and angry and sick of it. Guess that is the way it is now.

The "history books" jeers are always hilarious to me--not just here but elsewhere.

The "history" aka United States Propaganda books are a sham and everyone knows it and HAS KNOWN it for a while now, if we're talking about textbooks--hard copies or digital versions. I mean, where do we begin? Very few mentions of women in history, blatant lies about slavery/this country's origins, government spin on absolutely everything? That U.S. citizens assign any sort of value to "history books" in public schools is laughable.

Trump will be remembered for his horrible hair, orange pallor, and for being a game show host who was ushered into a presidency via the last throngs of a dying conservative population. Hillary will be remembered for many other things besides her unsuccessful run for presidency. Trump symbolizes the old, worn-out, left-behind, has-been, completely uninteresting. Clinton symbolizes the moment we all realized that the world hates women, and the turning point at which many of us also realized we aren't going to allow that anymore. No, she isn't/wasn't perfect, but she wasn't an orange Mafioso with bad hair and a God complex.

Maybe if Hillary had the Russians interfere on her behalf like they did for Trump, then we'd be calling her Madam President today.

I just want to point out that there is hope on this front. Our school uses A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn. From amazon.com: Library Journal calls Howard Zinn’s iconic A People's History of the United States “a brilliant and moving history of the American people from the point of view of those…whose plight has been largely omitted from most histories.” Packed with vivid details and telling quotations, Zinn’s award-winning classic continues to revolutionize the way American history is taught and remembered.

Hi,

I think its funny. I don't know whether or not this kind of thing ought to come from Hillary. She is sounding a bit strange herself in called Gabi ---- a Russian asset, because she spoke about running as a third party candidate. I don't think Hillary is ever going to get over the fact that she lost. She is much like DT in that they both are trying to prove either that Russia won the election for DT, or that Russia had nothing to do with the election of DT; thus he has to prove the Ukraine interfered t on behalf of Clinton. Totally obsessive. Its pretty clear Russia interfered.

Trump has debased the US Presidency with the help of Republicans in Congress. It is my belief that he may have changed the Presidency permanently. Human Nature can be counted on to push limits especially since those limits have been tested and nothing negative happened to Trump. A Person on this board said she/he that the Bidens should be investigated. The source of this has been found to be coming from Russia. Yet, the Bidens should be investigated along with the 2016 election according to Trump. And Bidens response was almost non-existent, until very recently. It seems Biden can't stand up for his family.

I want people to stand up to Trump. This is a mentally defective man that is unstable and has caused great harm. Right before the impeachment inquiry began, I had a day of crying. This is a terrible episode in US history. We did have a great country, but times have changed.

I would like Hillary to sort of go away. She did do good, but her time is past. My favorite candidate right now is Amy Kloberchar(Sp). I'm still a middle of the roader. I love Elizabeth Warren. She has the personality to go up against Trump. I just can't get behind all her policies.

It is depressing to say the least. I hope we can get through this intact.

We also teach the good, the bad and the ugly in my school; Columbus’ real story, the middle passage, the trail of tears and Jackson’s role, suffrage, manifest destiny and even the use of Native American names in sports (we compose and send a letter to the Redskin’s owner every year). Just wanted to say that.
Carry on! =)

Off to a meeting. :)

Thank you for adding Zinn to the conversation--that particular book was part of the curriculum in my first history class in college. I was immediately intrigued and excited about learning that semester...until I went home for Fall break and reported to my father what I was consuming as far as education. I was told in no uncertain terms that my prof was a "socialist" and that he'd probably never worked a day in his life, because what kind of man takes an entire summer off work? And so you see the struggle towards progress I and many others face/d in the conservative, rural Midwest. For all those who "get out," there are a hundred guilty consciences left behind and brought with...it's all very two steps forward, 92 steps back. Not unlike the Amish communities: sure, you get a chance to leave, but the repercussions of doing so are awful enough that most won't dare.

How many years has it been and I still can't believe the way twitter is used by politicians in general, especially trump. I'd get fired in my job for being so unprofessional...
