I see your fiance wanted you to have very high clarity and a great colour grade - lucky you and congrats on your engagement! As to whether he got a good deal, we would need to know the price paid to be able to help, but the search tool can help you with that anyway.

he paid $9800 CAN for the diamond and it was at a B&M store, not online... so that included all tax and everything... (but that was back in June when the US dollars was still a lot higher.. now i believe we're a little bit pass them or equal to them)

i have checked pricescope but there's such a wide range of prices.. and then it doesnt include shipping and what not.. and i dont really understand the whole thing with table, crown, pavillion etc etc. im afraid all i know is the 4 Cs. so i dont really know if this is a good diamond or not..

It looks like he did fine, I did a quick search and online prices for a GIA graded diamond of same colour, clarity and carat are running unset at around 9k and over USD, so as your price included being from a B&M jeweller and included tax and setting, it seems to me that your pricing was in line with similar. Also out of interest, if you have an appraisal value, very often these are higher than the purchase price, this is usual. Your diamond also has a very good cut with a very high clarity and great colour, and should be a nice performer, all you need to do now is know that your fiance did a good job with choosing and the price, and enjoy your diamond!
