Diamonds price jump

I have been reading the forum for a few months. Some of you have been posting a long time so see trends. How much do you think diamonds have increased in price from this time last year?

I've heard up to 40% on Ideal Rounds with GIA or AGS certificates. I don't know for sure. Other shapes will be different in terms of increases (less usually(. I'm sure someone here does have the exact figures though.

I can say from personal experience that I was on the verge of an upgrade this June, already picked out the stone and was just double checking my bank account, when overnight the price increased by 1K (from ~$6500 to ~$7500, and now I think it's ~$7900). No upgrade for me. Next time
