Diamonds, pearls, and sapphires, oh my. (My 1st little purchases)

I bought my first gold jewelry starter pieces- and a few more silver goodies. I got a diamond tennis bracelet that looks way smaller than I expected, a sapphire diamond pave ring, an opal diamond pave ring, a garnet ring, a blue topaz ring, vintage Mikimoto pearls, a few Enewton, 3 David yurman bracelets with pearl onyx and lace diamonds that I’m still waiting for in the mail, pearl earrings, diamond earrings, an all holiday charm bracelet, and a garnet diamond necklace. They’re all small little pieces and I’m still lusting a large opal in the future, but I wanted to get my jewelry collection started. I’d wanted an opal ring for over 15 years so this speck of opal makes me happy.

I ended up buying multiple used vintage pieces so I could alternate instead of big (to me) pieces. I’m still getting used to wearing jewelry other than plain silver rings. I moved from a rough neighborhood about a year ago and had to take even plain silver rings off to go to my mailbox in that part of town. My current neighborhood is much safer and it’s fun starting to dress up a little.

I couldn’t wait for them all to come on the mail so I’m posting them now. They’re modest little goodies but my first real purchase, so I’m excited. The other stuff is in my jewelry box is my existing jewelry, including my grandmother’s diamond bangle bracelet. I’ll post the user David Yurman silver bracelets when they come in.
