diamonds for a pendant

Hi Psers ,

I am thinking of a graduated pendant project (both Adwar & Stuller have the settings ) : either a 3 stone (0.20,0.30,040 ct) or a 5 stone pendant (0.20,0.25 ,0.30 ,0.35,0.40 ct).
should I go with uncertified excellent cut diamonds from a PS vendor ? or should I buy certified GIA/AGS excellent cut diamonds ?
I want super sparkly stones , but is there need for certified diamonds this small and for a pendant not a ring ?

the smallest stones with lab report start at .30ct

For stones under 0.30ct if you work with a vendor known to provide high quality uncertified diamonds, then I would go that route. It limits you in some cases to F/G color stones, though, since some vendors only carry melee in those colors. If you wanted I/J for example, then you would need to work with a vendor who can get such melee. Then you could get the larger ones with reports.

i don't think these specs will make pendant look graduated. IMO...you will need at least a .5mm difference b/t stones.

dreamer ,thanks for your reply .do think when I decide to buy the pendant should I discuss my options with the vendor ? I mean ask him whether to get uncertified or certified diamonds ?

I don't think the five stone sizes you mentioned will visually have enough o a graduated look..

actually I would have preferred the diamonds to be the same size like my 2 ctw huggies .but when I searched Adwar & Stuller ,they only have slight graduation pendant settings .and I dont want to go custom .
