Hi, I am looking to purchase a diamond wedding band. I was hoping you PS'ers could give me some advise on what to look for. I do not want the diamonds to go all around. I need them to be near colorless to match a future project. What is considered a good size, (it will eventually have to match a 3 stone ring with the center stone 1.5 and side stones around .50) My budget is 1500-2000. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Your rings sound a lot like mine. I have a three-stone engagement ring with a 1.5 center, the sides are .24 each.

My current wedding band is an eternity of 5-pointers but I'm thinking of getting a new one with larger stones. I'm talking to some PriceScope vendors like IDJ and Whiteflash. Maybe you should reach out to them for quotes. Here are some examples of my ring with different bands to give you a feel for what it might look like.

Hi Brownie22, I love your rings. That is the style that I want. I have my two .50 side stones I have not yet been able to upgrade my center stone. Which will be no less that a 1.5 So I have decided to put the ring on hold and work on the band. Do you think 5 or 6 .20 stones is too big. I like the look of your band. However, I would be wearing it alone until I get my center stone. I looked at some pixs of bands but its still hard to tell size. I have followed your suggestion and sent an email to Luann at IDJ, hopefully will hear from them soon. Thanks for your pictures

Thank you! The second band with the 7-pointers is not actually mine. It's one that I tried on before I purchased the wedding ring in the first photo with the 5-pointers. I don't like my current band so I want to get one more like the second photo.

I would LOVE an eternity band with 20-pointers but I definitely think it would overpower my three-stone. If my Ering was a solitare with my 1.51 stone then I think I would go for a band with 20-pointers but when I've tried on larger stone eternity bands it really overpowered my ring. Since you said that you don't want an full eternity you may be able to get away with larger stones. When I was at IDJ I tried on a 5-stone band with 15-pointers and it much better than an eternity of that size.

As it is, I'm thinking of getting an eternity with 10-pointers because I would love somethng more substantial when worn alone but I'm nervous that will overpower my ring too. Right now I'm considering 8-pointers but I'm scared I'll have diamond shrinkage syndrome later and wish I went with the 10s.

I don't know what your budget is but I also reached out to WhiteFlash for a quote. Their prices were higher but I'm waiting on some other PriceScopers to let me know if their quality of stones is that much better.

Good luck with it, hopefully we both find rings that we love!

I think 20 pointers are too large for a 1.5 ct. center. I have a 1.58 and my larger band has 10 point stones and that is the absolute maximum size I would consider. With a 3 stone ring, I really prefer a smaller, sparkly ring. MissGotRocks is a good example. I think her three stone has over a 2 ct. center stone, but she wears a thin channel set band from Tiffany with hers and I think it looks terrific. When you have a larger 3 stone e-ring, I think a wedding band with large stones is a little too busy.

Hi Brownie22, I have similiar thoughts as you. If I get 10 or 15 pointers will I wish I went bigger. At the same time I don't want to take away from the center stone. (Which I don't have yet) Luann has emailed me with some ideas. I really liked the trellis ring, I think I saw it on your thread. I have read so many I lose track. Good luck in your search.

Hi Diamondseeker, Thanks for your thoughts. I am definately going to get smaller stones for the 5 stone, or perhaps the 7 stone.

beautiful set :)

I love .20 stones for an eternity band as a standalone but I'm
Not sure how it will look with your threestone...

Thanks Amys Bling!
