My fiancee likes this one from Bluenile:

Opinions on the price, diamonds, etc? I haven''t seen an 8-stone ring like this in other online stores.. The 8 stones are key.

Are there any things I should be careful of with channel set like this?

For me personally I''ll just get a 4-6mm or so plain platinum band, ie: something like this:

I''ve bought from Bluenile before, for her engagement ring and she loves it.

Wow, that's huge!

I'd get a shared prong or something with less metal for stones that size. Maybe price out a few other jewelers? It's probably a custom job. Maybe get quotes from Signed Pieces, David Keeling (Canada,) Wink Jones, or WF, just to do a price comparison.

I agree with Julie. BlueNile does have some beautiful things, but they can sometimes be a little higher-priced than what you could get elsewhere. Definitely check to see what some other jewelers would charge to custom-make a similar ring for you. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know of any good reputable places in Toronto that could do this sort of custom work? Also, what does WF stand for JulieN?

I''ll answer real quick for Julie. WF stands for WhiteFlash.com, one of the PS vendors. They are very highly regarded here and have some beautiful jewelery.
