I have very good reason to believe that the diamond in my wedding ring has been switched while having some work done on it. I have the original paperwork from 1985. It is I-1 clarity,G-H color and .65 wt. With it being that long ago, that is all of the information I have. What would this diamond be worth today? Thank you!

Pricescope sez that you can buy a similar new stone for about $1000. Things like cut quality and who provided the grading play a big role in the stone's value as well.

With the advent of the internet, diamond prices seem to be dropping rather than rising. It's bad enough to take that hit when you "drive it off the lot" but to have actual retail prices deflating is a killer as well. Of course these times we're in now may the best ever buyer's market.
