It's not a proper hearts and arrows diamond. Try these guys http://www.niceice.com/ Remember H&A is measure of good symmetry not proportions.

Maybe I am just laughing too hard at Paul and Garry's exchange above, but I am now seized with an overwhelming desire to jump up, put a chip on my shoulder and yell, "Is too," to which you would reply, "Is not" "Is Too!" "Is not".

Sort of like when we were in the first grade...

When Wink gets back from vacation lets see if he can take another heart image with the camera properly centered over the viewer.

That will put the question to rest.

Vacation? It was only a weekend, but what a weekend. Camping with my wife Resa at Bruneau Sand Dunes on Friday night, beautiful night at the observatory looking at stars, then waking early for a nice paddle around the lake with Resa in the morning and pulling out of camp about the time it started to get hot.

Nice dinner out with friends, then met another friend this morning at 5AM to go fishing. Between the two of us we caught over 100 bass, some of them in the two to three pound range. (We let them all go, although I have been known to enjoy a good bass dinner from time to time, I just did not feel like cleaning fish today.) Now my son and his wife are coming over in an hour with my two grandkids for dinner, I am barbecuing hamburgers.

Now THAT my friends is a weekend!

If I get caught up in the next few days I will try to take a good photo of the idealscope image. If I do I will check with Andrey to make sure it is okay for me to post an image of Paul''s stone, I think it might be since it is in response to a direct question, but I want to be sure.

Actually, this would be a great place for Paul to jump in and give his idea about what the Hearts and arrows images should be called. He has a concept that I think warrants much more attention than he has gotten with it.

Paul, I know it is one in the morning where you are now, but when you wake up, let''s have a tutorial on what you would rather these images be called. I think you say it better than I, and I want to see it in print.

I used to love to go fishing but haven''t went in years.

Hi,

If the diamonds are pukka then the pictures are duds, as the arrows clearly aren''t lining up in the them (the pictures).

Haider

haider, perhaps read first half of the thread? I think this was established and Wink has apologized for the photos being not up-to-scratch..
(Wink, I hope you don''t mind me quoting you indirectly here..)

""""Up until a very short time ago all of these photos were taken by a third party who obviously did not always take the time to make sure all of the pictures were \taken with the diamonds perfectly level. even 1/2 a degree of tilt can affect the appearance of the photo. To actually have the diamonds perfectly level is probably one of the hardest factors of taking a good reflector type image of a diamond. For this reason Infinity has now hired someone who will be doing all of their photos to make sure that what you see is indeed what you are getting.

I have not been able to read all of the thread yet, but I see that some have already jumped in to share with you about the quality of our diamonds, and I want to thank Storm, kcoursolle and whatmeworry as well as others who might be further down in the thread for their kind words. It is one of the nice things about representing a quality product, and the kind words are, as always, greatly appreciated!

Wink

P.S. As Storm indicated, I am always happy to talk with you at any time.
