Can I please have some help/advice?

How important is it to match the color in a pair of diamond studs? For example is it necessary to have both earrings be Gs? What if all other factors were comparable but one was an H and one was an I?

Thanks!!

I''m interested to know this as well.

I''m considering mis-matched color grades for small studs (.3 each) - one I and the other G - and the Whiteflash rep I''ve been e-mailing with didn''t think this color difference would be significant enough to pick out. But I''m curious to hear other PSers views on this.

I have earrings with .50cttw F ACAs studs at the top and a pair 1cttw ACA studs, one of which is I and one of which is J. Honestly, I can't see much difference between any of them. I now have no idea which I/J stud is which and when I add Whiteflash jackets, (which I think are F?) they don't look any different either.

If someone at WF looks at the stones and says they match, then they will likely match just fine!

I have a pair of ACA''s, one is G, one H. I can''t tell them apart at all. In very well cut stones, you might even be able to go two grades difference.

Everyone is right. The vast majority of people wouldn't see any color difference in well-cut stones of adjacent grades.

As long as the cut is the same, and all things being equal, it wouldn''t bother me to have a G and an H, an H or an I. I wouldn''t be able to tell them apart. Many times when looking for a perfectly matched pair, it''s slim pickins....So yes, I''d do it in a heart beat.

Thanks for the responses!! that is reassuring!
