I''m looking to buy 3/4 ct. tw. round studs in WG settings for around 1k. At this size & price point would you still insist on getting certified stones, if you are at a trusted dealer? How much would GIA charge to certify (and presumably add to the cost)?
Whiteflash has a ''Ready set to go'' option of .70 I/SI ''expert selection'' in 4-prong WG for $935. This seems like a good deal to me. BN has similar deal (but they only say good cut). As they are both reputable, should I reasonably expect these stones to be as advertised?
How about going to a trusted dealer in person and bringing an idealscope? Would you still hesitate to buy this size/quality stones uncertified?
Thanks!
