Diamond Studs. Where do I go? What do I look for?

Hi! I was hoping you ladies/gentlemen could help me. My fiance bought me diamond studs for my birthday. Studs was exactly what I wanted and it was sooooooo sweet of him!!! However, we travel a lot so he called our local jeweler and had him do it all (therefore he didn''t actually pick them out himself and didn''t see them till they were delivered). We ended up with a set of poorly cut diamonds that I had to return. Now I am wondering where to go to get a replacement. It sounds like so many people on this site have wonderful online experiences. I''ve never done anything like this online and am nervous. I also don''t know where to begin!!! Any suggestions? As far as the actual diamonds go, I heard you can go down a little in color and clarity for earring (the others were h,VS2). What stats would you recommend to get the best earrings for the value? My other ones were about 2.2tcw. I am looking for the biggest I can get (but I do go for quality over size in the long run) while staying in the 10-15,000 price range. I of course want lots of white sparkle and fire . I appreciate any help you could offer!

I would suggest looking at H I J colour range, eyeclean SI1 or perhaps SI2 if you are lucky.

I will second honey''s choice. Whiteflash is well known for their very beautiful and super sparkly ACA diamonds. Excellent in every way. I have AGS-0 stones for my studs, (~1.5 tcw) and they are K/SI1s and oh yum yum, they are BLAZINGLY white and so beautiful!

(There are pics around here somewhere.)

I will definitely consider K color again when (if

) I upgrade someday. (I would also be beyond thrilled to find eyeclean SI2s.) My first criteria with ANY diamond is CUT... after that, I want *no yellow whatsoever* and 100% eyeclean. Then it gets easy -- I get as big as the budget will allow!

And oh man, with the budget you have, think of the SIZE you could get, girl!!!
