Diamond Studs! IDJ? Please help with suggestions.

I received the go ahead from hubbie to purchase diamond studs for our anniversary (I love that he lets me pick my own gifts). I would like 2 ctw round ones. My last diamond purchase was 2 ctw huggies from iDJ which I have been extremely pleased with. I am planning to start my diamond stud search with IDJ first. Anyone have experience with their preset diamond studs? I believe their preset studs are uncertified stones, but what should I be looking for? My diamond engagement ring is GIA triple EX, H, SI1. Should I look for the same in studs? I would think cut and color are more important than clarity, but am not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I think in earrings, the consensus seems to be as long as the cut is excellent, you can go to a color like I-J-K perhaps. All depends on your budget :-0 GL-such a fun purchase!!

I just got 2.3ctw this past year, and I prioritized color and cut more too. F and G, and one SI1 (other was VS1 but was an old e-ring stone). Color would just depend on your preference for color. Lots of people do H-Js. I initially bought I's from WF, but returned them cause they showed too much color for my taste.

I have H but have seen ideal cut I's on the ear and they were beautiful and did not appear tinted. The downside of lower colors than that (say below J) is that they are simply not going to appear as bright as a stone of higher color. But color is a very personal preference. I prefer to keep all of my diamonds in a similar range, such as H-I.

Just also wanted to say that I visited IDJ last winter in the city when I was buying a new ring and they were lovely to deal with. Though I didn't end up buying from them, I really liked the owners when I visited (though email communication was all through LuAnne who was a doll).

I would be as specific as you can with your budget and parameters and I am sure they will be able to help you find wonderful studs!

I bought 2ctw studs from IDJ couple years ago and prioritized certed excellent cut stones. Just couldn't see myself spending that much money for uncerted stones. Ended up with GIA XXX J/SI2s.

Thanks for all the replies! So much to think about. IDJ is going to email me a few options for uncertified, ideal cut, F/G color, eye clean pairs. I am a bit weary about uncertified stones, but I am very pleased with my huggies from IDJ that had uncertified but pricescoper quality diamonds. I am very excited!
