Diamond studs - can''t decide

I''ve decided to buy my gf diamond studs as a wedding gift. She currently has .25C & needs an upgrade. I''m going to buy in the range of 0.75 - 1 C. I think I''ve read every post here regarding studs & I know I want to get a pair that is well cut & am able to drop in color/clarity.

Here''s what I''ve narrowed the choices down to:

-Whiteflash 1C preset $2,345
-James Allen 1C preset $2,170
-James Allen 1C F/SI H&A $2,705

-James Allen 0.8C H/VS2 H&A $1,800
-Whiteflash 0.75C preset $1,425

I would have them set in 3 prong martini studs. I''m undecided as to whether to pay up for the H&A studs or stick with preset.

Since you''re already doing an upgrade on another pair, I''d go for the H & A so that you have an investment toward a larger pair some day if you/she decide you''d like to do so. THey''ll be stunning!
