Diamond Stud Earrings

I recently purchased the following diamond stud earrings from costco :-

1) Combined weight = 1 CT
2) VS2 or better
3) Color I or better

Interesting fact is that it does not come with any certification and therefore Costco does not provide individual properties of the diamonds. It does come with a costco appraisal form that lists out the combined weight as 1 ct, VS2, I or better and they say it is prepared by GIA.

I paid $2,200 for the earring (14K gold).

I wanted to hear from experts if it is a good price and can i trust Costco appraisal?

There's really no way to know anything without having them independently appraised. I wouldn't go to another jeweler who sells diamond earrings. It would be interesting to know the cut, color, and clarity from another source.
